Self-Trust as a Strategic Advantage
Dawn Ledet (Luh-Day — oui, it’s French)
I’m a coach, author, and speaker known for my grounded, practical, and deeply human approach to leadership, identity, and growth.
With more than two decades of leadership experience and over 6,000 hours of coaching, I work with entrepreneurs, experts, and coaches who are ready to build what once felt out of reach — not by pushing harder, but by leading themselves from a deeper place of self-trust.
Before coaching full time, I spent over twenty years in senior leadership roles within the hospitality industry, where clarity, follow-through, and self-leadership weren’t optional — they were essential. That experience continues to shape how I work today: strategic, embodied, and anchored in real-world execution.
I’m the creator of The Self Trust Solution™ and the host of The Self Trust Solution Podcast, where I explore how self-trust becomes a strategic advantage in leadership, decision-making, and sustainable success.

How I See This Work
I don’t believe people struggle because they lack discipline, intelligence, or ambition.
Most people struggle because they’re trying to create a next level from an outdated relationship with themselves.
My work is rooted in a simple truth:
self-trust is not a mindset — it’s a strategic advantage.
When identity leads, strategy works.
When identity is fragmented, even the best strategies stall.
Â
My Approach
I don’t prescribe solutions.
I reflect what I see.
Through deep listening, pattern recognition, and grounded strategy, I help people:
-
understand where they are in their becoming
-
reconnect with their internal authority
-
articulate what’s ready to be created
-
move forward without force or urgency
This is not motivational work.
It’s not hustle culture.
It’s not about becoming someone else.
It’s about leading yourself from the inside out.
A Bit About Me
I believe in grounded wisdom, strategic execution, and intentional comfort that doesn’t get in the way of progress.
I believe in honest conversations, cozy sweatshirts, and the truth that discomfort doesn’t mean something has gone wrong.
I believe success should feel like you all the way through — not just at the finish line.
And I believe we carry who we are into everything we build.
Like the girl in this photo — me and my sister, ages seven and eleven, on the Louisiana beaches where we used to set crab nets. I didn’t know it was hard work. I just knew it was fun.
That’s how I grew up: in the rich waterways outside New Orleans, where family time was also our food, our connection, and our joy. Fishing, shrimping, crabbing, water skiing — what others might call effort, I only knew as adventure.
It’s probably why hard work has never felt particularly hard for me.
It’s always been about meaningful effort — the kind that leaves you full, not depleted.
What makes me me is equal parts fire and softness.
Strategy and soul.
Big vision and real joy in the smallest wins.
Comfort and stretch.
Discipline and delight.
And what makes me your coach is that I know how to bring all of that into your goals — so you don’t just succeed…
You succeed well.
How This Begins
................
I don’t believe in starting with answers.
I believe in starting with clarity.
That’s why the entry point into this work is the Self-Trust Identity Map — a short reflective experience designed to help you understand where you are in your becoming and what’s quietly ready to shift.
From there, support unfolds naturally — aligned with your readiness, not a prescribed path.
Take the Self-Trust Identity MapIf You’re Here
You don’t need to be certain.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You don’t need to know what comes next.
You only need to be willing to see yourself clearly.
Everything else grows from there.
